This Privacy Policy explains how Rolly ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and beta application.

Introduction

We built Rolly to be fun first — and that means being upfront about the data we collect and why. This policy applies to our website, beta signup flow, and the Rolly app during the beta program.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the beta.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, and a small amount of information collected automatically:

  • Beta request details — the name, Google account email address and city you enter when requesting closed beta access. That email is what we add to our Google Play closed testing list, and it's how we recognise you when you check your request status.
  • Gameplay data — in-game progress, match results, and settings, once you're using the app.
  • Device information — device type, operating system, and app version, for compatibility and crash reporting.
  • Usage data — pages visited and features used on our website, collected via analytics.

How Information Is Used

We use the information we collect to operate the beta program, add testers to our Google Play closed test, improve matchmaking and game balance, diagnose bugs and crashes, and keep the community safe from cheating and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand aggregate trends — like which pages are visited most, or which beta signup steps cause drop-off — so we can improve the experience. Analytics data is generally aggregated and does not directly identify you.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate our services: Google Firebase for storing beta requests, Google Play for distributing the beta build to approved testers, and cloud hosting for the website. Google's own terms and privacy policy govern your use of the Play Store. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function.

Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections and access-controlled infrastructure — to help protect your information. Beta requests are stored in Google Firebase, which is configured to reject all direct access from browsers; only our own servers can read or write it. Beta builds are distributed by Google Play. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to continuously improve our protections.

Children's Privacy

Rolly is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region) without appropriate parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
